Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Later, she was a anchor of the morning news and as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding these situations. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. In the years following her stay in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. Then she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. O'Dell in addition to being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has co-hosted a variety of pre-shows and arrivals shows to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
